Near North Health, a longstanding pillar of Chicago's healthcare landscape, is seeking a visionary and compassionate Regional Medical Director of Education to join our dedicated team. Since our inception in 1966, we have remained committed to our mission of providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality primary healthcare services to all, regardless of their financial circumstances.

As Regional Medical Director of Education, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to serve primarily low-income uninsured or underinsured residents of Chicago's medically underserved communities. Your expertise in coordinating medical education activities will further solidify our position as one of the largest providers of community-based primary care in the city.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Group Sessions: Responsible for facilitating small group learning sessions with students in the organization.
  • Develop Curriculum: Develop and improve curriculums of medical students, interns and resident physicians.
  • Evaluate Students: Monitors student progress and perform student evaluations.
  • Coordinate Rotations: Develop and coordinates core and elective rotation opportunities, and facilitates hospital and clinic affiliations.
  • Oversee: Oversees content delivery from Mesa.
  • Training and Development: Participate in faculty development sessions and promote student learning and distance education.


Education:

  • D.O or M.D. degree w/specialty certification strongly desired, PHD or EdD considered.

Required Licensure and/or Certification:

  • Licensed by State to practice medicine. Meet credentialing requirements of affiliated hospitals (Children’s Memorial and Northwestern Memorial Hospital). Must be Board Certified.

Minimum Experience:

  • Clinical practice experience; small group facilitation; curriculum development; working as part of a team; willingness to learn and apply new skills.
