Full-time position to support the Corporate Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager in managing the global consolidation activities and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledgers of the Company’s headquarters operations. This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan and reports directly to the Corporate Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the consolidations of global financial statements for month end, forecasts, and budgets
• Administer the global consolidation software, troubleshoot issues and identify process improvements
• Assist with the preparation of annual audited financial statements and footnote disclosures
• Prepare various schedules required for year-end financial audits and assist with audit completion
• Manage fixed asset software and reporting for North America locations
• Manage global lease accounting software and monthly journal entries
• Assist with technical accounting research and drafting position papers
• Provide financial analyses as requested
• Manage the preparation and completion of various regulatory requested information
• Prepare account reconciliations and various journal entries
• Record, classify and summarize financial transactions in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with ad hoc reporting for strategic partners
• Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 5 years of qualified related experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Public accounting experience
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in dynamic environment
• Experience working with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with Plex is a plus
• Ability to work with confidential information
• Demonstrates working knowledge and application of US GAAP
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-starter and enjoys working hands-on
• Demonstrates high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and with all levels of personnel
