Senior Transportation Planner – Congestion Management Process and System Operations

Seeking a Senior Transportation Planner to assume a leadership role in advancing and coordinating the Congestion Management Process and System Operations activities within the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring the Congestion Management Process (CMP)
• Implementing and monitoring congestion management strategies related to initiatives identified in the regional Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP)
• Developing and supporting CMP-related working groups and assisting Transportation Department staff with respect to congestion management strategies
• Setting, tracking, and reporting regional CMP-related targets, goals, and performance measures
• Maintaining and updating Regional Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Architecture website and tool
• Monitoring and reviewing Regional ITS Architecture Consistency Statements
• Overseeing consultant and partner coordination for the 511DFW information system
• Developing budgets and monitoring expenditures
• Developing documentation for agreements and contracts
• Preparing and delivering oral presentations
• Preparing and reviewing memorandums, letters, documentation, reports, articles, and executive summaries
• Planning and attending meetings and events
• Supervising staff

This position requires at least three years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in analytical, quantitative methods.
