Positions Summary

The Director of Risk Manager will lead the identification, communication, measurement, and management of company-wide risk which shall include insurance procurement/claims reporting, management of workers’ compensation claims, and development/implementation of risk management training and compliance policies/procedures. This position will be based at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Position Responsibilities

• Identify potential risk exposures, recommend solutions, implement approved programs, promote loss prevention, update and monitor compliance.
• Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement standards, processes, programs and best practices related to risk management.
• Proactively conduct risk prevention training to staff based on statutory regulations and best practices.
• Conduct company-wide risk assessments to ensure enterprise risks are identified, evaluated and managed.
• Coordinate and manage the P&C insurance lifecycle to include broker vetting, applications, coverage assessment, procurement, policy review, assessment of loss runs, etc.
• Investigate and respond to insurance claims under the direction of the Chief Legal Officer and provide strategy and/or additional resources to move claims to timely resolution.
• Review loss trends and take proactive measures to mitigate areas of concern.
• Review agreements for applicable insurance requirements and risk mitigation provisions.
• Manage all certificates of insurance (both incoming and outbound).
• Track and manage the company’s workers’ compensation program with an eye towards reducing claims and closing open files.

• Oversee OSHA recordkeeping and timely reporting for all workplace injuries.

• Develop and communicate plans to address and mitigate loss events.
• Additional risk management duties as requested by Chief Legal Officer.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 7 years of relevant experience (ideally in-house).
• Associate in Risk Management (ARM) preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that will enable interaction with a range of personalities and styles in a fast-paced business environment .
• Exceptional negotiation and organizational skills.
• Solid analytic skills, creative problem-solving abilities and a practical business-oriented viewpoint.
• Detail-oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and produce quality work within deadlines.
• Upbeat temperament, dynamic personality, proactive and highly team-oriented approach to work.
