NCQA Brand is Hiring a Communications Specialist Near Washington, DC

NCQA is hiring a Communications Specialist. This role is responsible for driving Communications and Thought Leadership efforts by implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to promote NCQA programs, initiatives, and services to key audiences.

The ideal candidate will excel at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, while producing impactful communications in support of the organization’s goals and objectives.

Healthcare and B2B communications experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the tactical implementation of a comprehensive communications strategy.
  • Create a variety of content for key communications platforms, ensuring quality, accuracy and effective storytelling that aligns with organizational messaging and strategies.
  • Regularly liaise with Marketing, Product, and Public Policy team members, and identified clients for content creation and amplification.
  • Work with agency partners to create deliverables and manage external thought leadership and media opportunities.
  • Stay up to date on market trends and current events to identify opportunities or adjustments to branding and communications strategy.
  • Draft and edit communications copy and material for internal and external audiences in accordance with NCQA branding, strategy, policy, and guidelines.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and State and Federal Affairs to develop and identify thought leadership opportunities for NCQA leaders.
  • Document processes and workflows to streamline approvals and create content pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and produce communications materials, such as collateral, promos, videos, podcasts, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in Communications or Marketing.
  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare or healthcare-related organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Understanding of the established principles and concepts within public relations, strategic communication, media relations, and digital strategy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Keen attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools.
