We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated OR (Operating Room) Technician to join our team. As an OR Technician at NCG Associates, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams and ensuring the smooth operation of the operating room.
Responsibilities- Prepare the operating room and ensure it is equipped with necessary supplies and equipment
- Assist surgical team with patient positioning and draping
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and other team members during procedures
- Monitor and maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures
- Prepare and handle specimens for laboratory analysis
- Operate and maintain surgical equipment
- Manage and dispose of surgical waste and contaminated items
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the operating room
- Assist with patient transport to and from the operating room
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent training
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an OR Technician
- Thorough knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment
- Ability to anticipate surgeon's needs during procedures and provide appropriate support
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control protocols
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Shift and Time: 12N; 1845-0715
Schedule Details: 12N; 1845-0715
Weekend Rotation: none
-call Requirements: as needed
Holidays Requirements: as needed
Floating Requirements: within OR
Experience Required: 2 year as a CST or ORT; general, vascular, 3 years experience in level 1 trauma
License Required: Diploma from accredited school
License Preferred: NBSTSA
Certificates Required: AHA BLS
Client Specific Details: All licenses/certifications are needed upon submission.
occ health visit is required prior to starting. anyone living up to 3 hours away will have to come to Kansas city for their occ health visit.
