The Senior Accountant contributes essential financial insights to management through meticulous analysis of accounting data and the preparation of comprehensive reports. What You’ll Do Journal Entries and Reconciliations: Prepare monthly journal entries within Workday Financials and reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts while ensuring proper documentation of all balances. Fixed Assets and Inventory Management: Manage the fixed assets sub ledger, handling additions, tracking existing assets, and recording depreciation/amortization. Update the tax fixed asset ledger. Coordinate quarterly inventory cycle sheets/reports, reconcile and analyze inventory on-hand and during physical inventory counts, and monitor and report on inventory shrink. Financial Maintenance and Reporting: Oversee the Corporate Credit Card Program and assist in lease accounting, property tax returns, and intercompany account management. Maintain deferred rent schedules and manage Payroll and accrued liability schedules. Ad Hoc Projects and Financial Audits: Conduct ad hoc projects, reporting, and analysis as required, assisting in internal and external financial audits, and tax audits. Guide and coordinate activities of accounting clerical staff, offering guidance and review support. Financial Reporting and Confidentiality: Generate ad hoc/special financial reports, analyzing trends and account information for both Finance and Operations. Work with operations to ensure timely collection of Tenant Improvement Allowance reimbursements while maintaining financial confidentiality. Professional Development and Compliance: Stay updated with industry knowledge, attending workshops and reviewing publications, and maintaining professional networks. Interface with external auditors to provide necessary documentation during annual audits and respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies regarding taxes. Uphold honesty and integrity in all business transactions, maintaining confidentiality in all financial dealings. What You’ll Bring (Hiring Requirements) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree or CPA designation is preferred. 4 years of Corporate Finance or Accounting experience. Experience in multi-site healthcare operations. Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Proficient in timely monthly accounting record closures. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to lead and collaborate within a team or independently. Attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality. Proactive and capable of working under pressure, occasionally requiring after-hours and weekend work. Flexibility and adaptability to evolving processes in a demanding, fast-paced, customer-focused organization.
