Naviga has been retained to help identify a Network Engineer to join their team.Title: Network Engineer Location: Charleston/Columbia, SC Key Notes/Company Details:

• Collaborating with network architects to design and implement functional company networks
• Installing and configuring networking hardware
• Creating and implementing network security measures
• Managing and mentoring junior Network Engineering staff
• Delegating networking maintenance tasks to junior staff
• Dealing with escalated network support issues
• Anticipating potential issues or bottlenecks and identifying possible solutions

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or 5-10 years related field experience
• Cisco Certified Network Professional certification or equivalent
• Previous work experience as a Networking Engineer
• Proven track record of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting route/switch, collaboration, security or wireless systems
• Exceptional knowledge of networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
• Familiarity with administration, performance tuning, and system monitoring
• Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including Cisco, Ruckus and Meraki, etc
• Advanced knowledge of networking hardware including switches, routers, access points, collaboration devices, etc
• Advanced knowledge of communication and routing protocols
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
• High level problem-solving and communication skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and face-to-face)
