What We Are Looking For
Navarro Regional Hospital is now hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for our PACU/Outpatient Surgery to work in our thriving 162 bed acute care hospital. The Circulator acts as a team member of the operating room staff and ensures that the surgical room is sterile and safe for the patient. 

What You Will Do

Job Duties:

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills

Required skills:

• Strong attention to detail
• Physical stamina to handle long, arduous work hours
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to adapt to change quickly
• Ability to care for patients from pediatric to geriatrics

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited school of nursing
• Currently certified as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
• One (1) year of experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Two (2) years of experience as Circulator preferred

Working Hours:

• Five (5) Eight (8) hour shifts
• Call is required. Must respond within 20 minutes, or stay in a provided hospital room
