Job DescriptionWhat We Are Looking ForNavarro Regional Hospital is now hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for our PACU/Outpatient Surgery to work in our thriving 162 bed acute care hospital. The Circulator acts as a team member of the operating room staff and ensures that the surgical room is sterile and safe for the patient.What You Will DoJob Duties:* Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care* Assists physicians during examinations and procedures* Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse* Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skillsRequired skills:* Strong attention to detail* Physical stamina to handle long, arduous work hours* Excellent communication skills* Ability to adapt to change quickly* Ability to care for patients from pediatric to geriatricsMinimum Requirements:* Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing* Currently certified as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas* One (1) year of experience* BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificationsPreferred Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in Nursing* Two (2) years of experience as Circulator preferredWorking Hours:* Five (5) Eight (8) hour shifts* Call is required.
