Job Description

The Intermediate Subcontractor Technical Representative (STR) position is at the Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) in Southeastern Idaho. This area in Idaho is well developed with entertainment and education opportunities in all the surrounding communities. as well as close proximity to world class fishing, hunting, and skiing or recreational activities like hiking and camping in the nearby National Parks or in the untamed Idaho wilderness. The STR position is in the Remediation Projects Unit which is responsible for the decommissioning and demolition (D&D) of facilities at NRF. The STR position provides a challenging work environment where you are part of the team that helps shape the future of NRF by removing the legacy work areas while preserving the historic features of the facilities and significant work that was accomplished. The STR candidate will be responsible to coordinate the transfer of facilities and work areas over to the D&D subcontractor, follow the D&D subcontractor's on-going activities during D&D and coordinate the NRF work to support the subcontractor, and oversee the completion of the work with the transfer of the area back to NRF. Work activities include performing in-field inspections of work areas, coordinating and reporting on NRF required actions to support the D&D subcontractor, and preparing and following the work area agreements for the transfer of facilities and areas to the D&D subcontractor. Personnel will be required to qualify to be monitored for occupational radiation exposure and hazardous waste operations worker (HAZWOPER) through training provided by NRF.

Responsible for managing US Government construction projects as the Site/Buyer representative. As the central point of contact, communicate with subcontractors, technical staff, and the local field office regarding any issues that arise from constructability design review to project completion. Work closely with subcontractors to ensure that all construction work is completed in compliance with relevant regulations, permit requirements, and safety standards. Additionally, with the Project Execution Team, will monitor construction quality and coordinate work with other entities involved in the project. Responsible for ensuring safe operations throughout the project and taking necessary actions to mitigate risk. Expected to maintain accurate records of project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, including estimated percent of completion and cost status.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; orMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Pay Range
$67,800 - $103,800 annually
