Nautilus Defense is Hiring a Project Manager Near Pawtucket, RI

Nautilus is looking for a positive, well-organized project manager to support the delivery of state-of-the-art research and advanced manufacturing projects.

Description

Nautilus Defense builds state-of-the-art textile-integrated systems for monitoring high-value assets and their environments. Our technologies enable the broad distribution and interconnection of electronics in textiles without detracting from their mechanical properties. We leverage these technologies to develop systems of immediate value to our customers while continuously advancing their readiness for manufacturing and use at scale.
Nautilus is a small interdisciplinary team structured to facilitate the rapid experimental development of novel integrated systems. All Nautilus team members demonstrate high levels of technical leadership and personal autonomy. The ideal candidate for this position has experience working both independently and as a member of a fast-moving, high-performing team.
Nautilus is looking for a positive well-organized project manager to support the delivery of research and advanced manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate has experience executing complex projects and is comfortable creating systems and supporting project focus in an inventive and entrepreneurial setting. Project work will include planning, managing, and reporting responsibilities in a growing organization.
We are open to flexible work arrangements. Position requires US Citizenship.

Responsibilities:
  • Breakdown project goals and objectives to task size
  • Establish schedule and periodic deadlines
  • Define project responsibilities with stakeholders internally and partners
  • Develop a management, communication plan, and budget for project phases
  • Support and manage project for delivery on time, cost, and per project goals
  • Serve as primary conduit for communications with rest of business.
  • Compile, maintain and review project documentation, status, and compliance reporting and communications as required.
  • Raise and resolve issues amongst project members
  • Motivate members of the project team
  • Assess, develop, and improve project process and procedures for management and technical duties.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and documentation skills
  • 3 or more years of experience in a project management role for complex projects
  • Ability to take initiative, solve problems, work independently, and self-motivate to meet project milestones in a fast-paced environment.
  • Friendly yet firm personality
  • Good understanding of contract management, budgeting, and risk management
  • Good understanding of contract manufacturing in high-tech manufacturing
  • Willingness to delegate rather than micromanage
  • Ability to work on small dynamic teams pursuing ambitious complex development goals

Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per year
