Nature's Grace and Wellness is Hiring a Remote Human Resources Generalist - Chicago, IL Remote
Responsibilities
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Assist in maintaining the employee handbook, being very familiar with all aspects of it, and communicating company policies and procedures.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure and certifications.
- May assist with recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Assists with maintaining and implementing the performance review process in a timely manner.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of company events, organizational meetings, employee recognition events and holiday parties.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Assist with providing HR metrics.
- Performs other HR related duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office and HRIS System skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of related experience or Associates Degree and 3 years of directly related experience in a similar role.
- Thorough understanding of Employment Laws.
- Must be 21 years of age to apply
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
- Must be able to travel to assigned retail stores throughout the Chicago region
