We are currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Collaborate with department heads to create and maintain a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire safety training, employee forklift training, and yearly company wide safety training.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Monitor and report on key EHS performance indicators to senior management.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices, and ensure company compliance.
  • Manage environmental programs, including waste management, recycling, and pollution prevention initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities.
  • Assist in emergency response planning and drills.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred.
  • Previous Red Cross Adult CPR/First Aid/AED certification required
  • 3 years of experience in environmental health and safety coordination.
  • Previous forklift experience/certification required.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is a plus.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM /-
Pay: $25.00/HR, dependent upon experience
