Natural Retreats is Hiring a HR Benefits Administrator - AMAZING BENEFITS! Near Charlottesville, VA

Natural Retreats is hiring a full-time HR Benefits Administrator to join our team! We are looking for a motivated individual to administer employee benefits programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The Benefits Administrator will spend their day multi-tasking on a wide variety of duties to include communicating with plan vendors and third party administrators regarding benefits and wellness offerings, managing various types of leave, responding to team members benefit inquiries, leading issue resolution, collaborating with the HR team to enhance benefits offerings, documentation and file maintenance and more. 

This is a full-time position. This position will be HYBRID meaning the HR Benefits Administrator will be required to work 2 days per week in the NR headquarters office in Charlottesville, VA.

Essential Functions for this position include:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and first point of contact for all Natural Retreats team members related to benefits and wellness offerings at the company.
  • Analyze current benefits, evaluating the use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends in benefits programs, and identify the company's stance. 
  • Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators. 
  • Ensure accurate benefit reporting internally and to vendors. Maintain and audit internal and vendor systems for proper benefits coverage. 
  • Ensures COBRA Administration compliance. 
  • Develop and execute a company-wide wellness initiative. 
  • Communicate with active and inactive employees regarding benefit selections, upcoming enrollments and eligibilities through various methods including phone, e-mail and traditional mailings. 
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, QDROs, QMCSOs, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing. 
  • Administers leave management for the company to include FMLA, disability, and pregnancy/child bonding leave.
  • Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration. 
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting, auditing and fees. 
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records. 
  • Serve as back-up for payroll administration as needed. 
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

REQUIRED 

  • 2 years’ experience in human resources or related field
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to work collaboratively with peers
  • Must exhibit the desire to provide superior customer service 
  • Must be detail oriented to perform responsibilities accurately and identify and to problem solve issues and areas of opportunity 
  • Must be computer savvy and able to learn new systems and software 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills 
  • Must be willing to continuously improve work processes
  • Demonstrated experience with HR information systems, specifically with Applicant Tracking Systems; implementation experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations and guidelines at federal, state, and local levels that impact areas assigned
  • Ability to identify challenges and utilize HR & recruiting best practices to solve and recommend solutions
  • Written, verbal and listening skills that promote healthy two-way communication with multiple stakeholders throughout the organization in multiple formats including, face to face, video calls, email and chat
  • Experience developing and delivering engaging presentations at all levels of the organization
  • Experience successfully integrating Mission, Vision, and Core Values into work processes
  • At least intermediate experience required in Microsoft Office suite (or similar) to include: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations based on findings to multiple stakeholders.
  • Skilled in creating efficient processes, but experienced enough to know when flexibility is warranted
  • Ability to accomplish assigned goals in spite of multiple on-going projects or tasks
DESIRED
  • Experience administering benefits as the main point of contact 
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and/or auditing 
  • UKG/Dimensions/Workforce Management experience 

Travel:
Minimal travel expectations, except when support is needed and travel required in assigned sites. (<15%)

Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. The core business hours for our support offices are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Because this role is responsible for supporting all of our destinations, the hours may need to fluctuate to accommodate open enrollment meeting times and other periodic needs in multiple time zones. (Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific). Additionally, other project work or responsibilities may require the Team Member to occasionally work outside of this schedule.
