POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible to provide clinical coordination and monitoring of standards of care between the residential and outpatient treatment service components of NARA NW. Ensures treatment model that is family & community based & includes child & family development, Portland Public Schools, Gresham Barlow schools, and Parkrose schools.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Maintain on-going audits of all client files assuring that records are in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Assure groups and lectures are conducted according to schedule.
  • Train staff in counseling skills, documentation, treatment planning and other areas as assigned by the Treatment administrator.
  • Conduct regular clinical staff meetings to review clinical issues.
  • Inform the Treatment Director of clinical issues and concerns.
  • Review counselor discharge and aftercare planning for clientele.
  • Responsible for the school outreach programs.
  • Responsible for supervision of the outreach/community services position and program.
  • Responsible for completing regular performance evaluations on staff.
  • Participate in on-call service coverage.
  • Attend relevant meetings as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree & dually licensed/certified preferred.
  • Current CADC II and minimum of 10 years paid counseling or social service experience required.
  • Minimum 5 yrs management experience.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies when selecting methods and techniques in problem solving.
  • Ability to present ideas, transmit information and convey concepts to individual or groups of people of varying educational, cultural, and experiential levels in an effective way.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients, the community, and other staff members.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, other NARA staff, team members, and to treat everyone with respect and dignity at all times.
  • Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community is considered a plus.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.
  • Ability to pass criminal background and DMV checks.
  • NARA NW is fully committed to supporting sobriety. All employees must agree to model sobriety, both on and off the job, including no alcohol drinking, no illicit drug use, no marijuana use, and no prescription drug abuse behavior. If in recovery, must have been sober/clean for a length of time sufficient to demonstrate that will be able to model sobriety.
