Nationwide Medical, Inc. is a durable medical equipment company located in Calabasas, California. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Patient Care Representative with an outgoing personality who wants to join our clinical team.

As a Patient Care Representative…

You will assist patients with new CPAP therapy setup and therapy compliance. The ideal candidate is caring and compassionate, enthusiastic, solutions-oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day.

Hours of Operation: Full-time, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to “walk-in” patients, assisting with mask fitting, machine trouble-shooting, complete machine set-up, etc.
  • Review patient prescriptions and sleep studies for proper instruction
  • Review patient accounts for information needed to process patient orders
  • Instruct patient on details of machine and supply usage, including recommendations for masks
  • Discuss compliance guidelines required by insurance
  • Explain resupply program process to patients
  • Perform patient calls, including but not limited to, resolving mask issues and machine/technical issues and compliance issues/questions as needed
  • Serve on after-hours call rotation to handle emergency patient calls
  • Ensure patient satisfaction with expediency when responding to patient calls and voicemails
  • Educate the customer and document interactions through contact tracking
  • Utilize computer technology to handle high call volumes
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • CPAP/BiLevel equipment knowledge, including compliance requirements and usage, preferred
  • Excellent customer service and listening skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to troubleshoot issues with a high sense of urgency
  • Exemplify a pleasant, patient and friendly attitude with a demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for patients
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • High School graduate or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
