Nationwide Healthcare Services is Hiring an Unit Clerk Near Philadelphia, PA

Renaissance Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is a 123 bed long and short term care nursing facility located in the University City area. Our facility is currently searching for an experienced and friendly Unit Clerk to join our administrative team. A Unit Clerk is in charge of managing residents health files in our facility. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including collecting patient information, issuing medical files, filing medical records, scheduling appointments and processing admissions and discharge papers. You will perform a range of duties . The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of medical terminology, processes, and administrative duties. To excel in this position , you should also demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Help with departmental audits and investigations.
  • Distribute medical charts to the appropriate person for all new admissions .
  • Maintain quality and accurate records by following facility procedures .
  • Maintain credentials for all our doctors, NP's and outside services such as dental, eye and podiatry.
  • Make sure all medical records are protected and kept confidential.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced understanding of medical terminology and administration processes.
  • Proficient in information management programs and MS office.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have nursing home experience
