Gambles Hardware, a Nation’s Best Holdings, LLC company, is seeking candidates for our

Cashier / Customer Service Team Member position at our Hotchkiss, Colorado location. 

We are looking for Full-Time AND Part-Time Candidates currently to join our team!

What Does a Cashier / Customer Service Team Member Do?

  • Provides exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, greeting and thanking them, and assisting with their needs
  • Answers phone calls in a polite and timely manner, addressing customer inquiries and providing assistance
  • Assists customers in locating products, offering recommendations, and providing personalized information
  • Upsells and promotes items to increase overall sales and enhance the customer experience
  • Highlights Do It Best reward program to customers, encouraging their participation to foster customer loyalty
  • Follows company standards and procedures to ensure efficient operations and meet customer expectations
  • Processes checkouts accurately and efficiently, adhering to proper cash handling procedures
  • Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and process payments (cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers, etc.).
  • Accurately scan and bag items, ensuring proper handling of merchandise.
  • Provide customers with receipts and correct change.
  • Continuously seeks product and project knowledge to better assist customers and identify unique selling opportunities
  • Resolves customer issues with the support and guidance of management
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Performs any other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management

What Does It Take to Be Successful as a Cashier / Customer Service Team Member?

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Proficiency in using computers and operating point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using cash registers and other related equipment
  • Basic working knowledge of hardware items preferred 
  • Results-oriented with the ability to serve stores with humility and be a steward of Nation’s Best’s values
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the willingness to consistently provide superior customer service skills
  • Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing 25-50 pounds, as well as perform tasks like bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching throughout the work shift
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to accommodate the needs of the business
Currently looking to hire for FT and PT roles - please provide availability to hiring manager during interview process.
Store Hours:
M-F: 7:30am-5:30pm
Saturday: 8am-5pm
Sunday: 9am-4pm
