Position Overview

Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Performs a wide variety of plant maintenance, repairs, installation and construction projects.

Role and Responsibilities

• Has working knowledge of all equipment in the plant and the status of each one
• Performs equipment repair, modifications and regular maintenance activities
• Moves, places, dismantles, installs and aligns all plant equipment
• Maintains heating and ventilating equipment, compressors, generators, washers and any other equipment owned by the company.
• Hires direct or indirect outside contractors to aid with Maintenance needs
• Sources equipment needed to repair equipment
• Keeps inventory of all spare parts
• Performs electrical work in various areas of the facility working with electrical circuits, fuses, breakers, etc.
• Responsible for performing preventive maintenance on all in house equipment
• Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers
• Follow all facility safety rules and regulatory requirements
• Corresponds with Production regarding the status of the equipment
• Provides information to Quality when requested
• Maintains records of conformance for material purchased
• Maintains and Safe and Clean work environment free of Hazards

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Ability to learn and adapt to different types of heat-treating equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot issue
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude
• Proficiency in Programmable Logic Controllers, Temperature Controllers, High Limits, and Furnace Chart Recorders
• Ability to lift 50lb or less
• Solid organizational and prioritization skills
• Attentive to detail and committed to high quality customer service
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to identify problems and suggest process improvements
• Takes pride in maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• High School Diploma/GED
• Written and Verbal Communication Skills
• Self-Starter, takes initiative and can work with little to no supervision
• Excellent multitasking abilities; quick and effective problem solver
• Highly adaptable; thrive on challenges and excel in new environments
• Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines
• Loyal, punctual, and dependable; believes that internal principles dictate performance

Preferred Skills

• 8 years of maintenance experience in heat treating machinery and equipment, strongly preferred
• Computer Literacy

• Experience in supervising others

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
