Seeking:

National EAP, Inc. is seeking a Masters Level counselor to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment. They are warm, engaging, professional and have experience in counseling, crisis management and care management.

The Client Services Counselor will work primarily in our Client Services Department providing intakes, in the moment support, crisis and case management services and will provide critical incident response (CIR) services to Employees of organizations following tragic events, as back up to our EAP Clinicians, as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct EAP intakes, assessments, and action plans
• Provide in the moment counseling and support as needed
• Coordinate with outside providers including EAP affiliates, medical providers, substance abuse facilities, psychiatric care etc. and provide case monitoring services to clients when appropriate
• Maintain up-to-date information on all client and organizational activity including managing a small caseload
• Participate in the development of National EAP Provider and Referral Database
• Provide short-term, solution-focused EAP counseling to clients as needed
• Rotate infrequent after hours’ on-call clinical rotation with the rest of the team
• Other responsibilities assigned as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to provide effective short-term solution focused counseling
• Knowledge of the EAP field (preferred)
• Excellent critical thinking, judgement, and decision-making abilities
• Professional therapeutic boundaries with clients
• Strong computer and/or technical skills, specifically proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS
• Skilled in written and verbal communication with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to handle client relationship management, provide strong client consultative skills, and work in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities

Education

• Masters Degree in Social Work or related field required
• Bilingual Spanish & English Speaking preferred

Working Conditions

· Work hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-5 pm

• Remote candidates must have a private area with hardwired internet access where they will be able to work from home in an appropriate setting.
