National Christian Foundation Heartland has received over $3 billion in Giver contributions since its founding in 2000 and mobilized over $3 billion in giver recommended grants to charity. NCF is seeking a proactive, relational, and talented individual with a strong commitment to excellence that will make our team stronger. An individual with a strong background in outside sales, relationship management, business development, financial planning, and/or marketing/channel development. A leader in the community who will develop NCF giver relationships through their existing relationships and networks, referrals through community advocates, ministry and advisor channels. The Relationship Manager role will build and grow relationships with existing givers - encouraging stewardship through NCF’s products and services

The Relationship Manager/Vice President proactively initiates and nurtures new relationships with high and ultra-high-capacity givers (HCG/UHCG). This position will grow HCG/UHCG relationships, assets, contributions and grants. As well as, walk alongside of givers and shepherd them as they grow in their spiritual journey of generosity. Support givers as they stretch their faith and endeavor to give more abundantly through cash and noncash gifts using giving funds and other giving vehicles. Cultivate relationships that ultimately produce and lead to additional referrals and prospects.

The successful candidate will possess the following strengths, characteristics, and requirements while performing the following duties and responsibilities through personal implementation or by working through other local and national staff.

Work Environment: 20% office; 80% external (meeting with givers, advisors, etc.)

Reports to: President NCF (Heartland)

Management/Supervision: None

1. Giver Engagement (50%)
a. Proactively reach out to new and existing givers to build relationships, increase awareness, connect them into the larger community, and explore new ways to serve.
b. Influence and instill trust working with givers toward giving solutions and goals.
c. Motivate and inspire givers to develop a giving strategy for future generosity and succession planning.
d. Counsel and co-develop, in conjunction with givers, a giving plan that builds in accountability and progression on their giving journey.

2. Prospect Development (35%)
a. Proactively cultivate relationships with prospective givers.
b. Garner referrals from Generosity Council members, existing givers and professional advisors.
c. Network with community partners, ministries, organizations, and councils.

3. Channel Development (15%)
a. Develop strategic relationships with targeted advisors and ministries.
b. Reach and influence organizations with a constituency that desires to increase their capacity for giving and kingdom impact.

4. Other Duties and Responsibilities
a. Assist with projects as assigned.

5. Personal, Spiritual, and Professional Development
a. Demonstrates a commitment to personal, spiritual, and professional maturity through regular prayer, study of Scripture and other Christian learning mechanisms.
b. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational seminars, workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

6. Building Christian Community Through Demonstrating Biblical Principles
a. Actively integrates biblical principles in day-to-day behavior, exhibiting unremitting integrity and strong moral character.
b. Models daily faithfulness to God and love and service to others.
c. Prays regularly for employees, givers, and charities involved with NCF.
d. Regularly participates in NCF Devotions and other NCF community building events.

IV. Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory duties assigned.
Required Experience:


1. Christ Centered

a. Profession that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
b. Lifestyle that is consistent with the teachings of Jesus and the Bible.
c. Agreement and support of NCF’s Statement of Faith.
d. Demonstrates the values of faithfulness, love, and service.

2. Education
a. A Bachelor’s degree is required.

3. Experience
a. Minimum three years of previous sales, relationship management, business development, business ownership, financial planning or wealth management, and/or marketing/channel development required.
b. Previous experience serving high net worth individuals, families, and advisors preferred. Knows how to appropriately serve, interact, and communicate with high-net-worth individuals.
c. Previous charitable giving, non-profit, or ministry experience preferred.
d. Working knowledge of basic business financial reports (e.g., P & L, Balance Sheet) and basic understanding of personal tax rules a plus.

4. Knowledge Base
a. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
b. Proven aptitude for "real-time" problem diagnosis and solving.
c. Working knowledge of charitable, non-profit, foundation, and/or donor- related subject matters preferred.
d. Some marketing and social media experience a plus.
e. Able to perform duties independently.
f. Knowledge of a CRM tool like Salesforce is preferred.
g. Knowledge of ShareFile, or other file sharing platform helpful.

k. Maintains sensitive and confidential information as well as business, giver, and local office confidential matters.
