The purpose of this position is to lead and manage the Asset Managers by performing the following duties personally and through subordinate employees. This position maintains managerial responsibility over team operations, policies and procedures. This position also coordinates with internal and external parties to ensure proper management and sale of assets, and optimizing the value from each gifted asset.

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Manage a small team of AM’s responsible for the receipt, management and liquidation of complex asset gifts.
• Supports the team to ensure the assets are managed efficiently and in compliance with NCF policies and procedures and regulations from various governing authorities, such as the IRS.
• Ensures the team operates in a manner that maximizes efficiency, provides an excellent giver experience, and mitigates risk.
• Seek and implement efficiencies in processes.
• Leads team in projects to support organizational and team objectives.
• Leads and attends team and cross departmental meetings.
• Conducts ongoing performance reviews.
• Meets with team members frequently to listen, coach, counsel and discipline them about job performance in order to develop motivated, productive and engaged team members.
• Ensures team meets or exceeds SLA’s.
• Works with AM’s to develop personal and team goals.
• In collaboration with the VP, Asset Management, assists with the development, implementation, monitoring and management of the annual budget for the team.
• In collaboration with VP Asset Management, develops guidelines and standards for use and allocation of resources by internal and external stakeholders in an effective and efficient manner.
• Ensures new AM’s are trained and equipped.
• Assist VP Asset Management with training and education of the team and other organization stakeholders, such as Relationship Manager teams.
• Identifies gaps in the team’s knowledge base vs job requirements and suggest ways to fill the gaps.
• Stays informed on legal, economic, and marketing issues that may affect the AM team.
• Collaborate with other departments and participate in developing and presenting training materials to internal stakeholders.
• Manage SMLLC banking process.
• Manage liquidation Gift Approval Group (GAG) process.
• Tracks and assist with work order requests to due diligence team.
• Monitors and adjusts team workloads.

• Lead and manage special projects.
• Participate in cross functional team meetings and organization initiatives.
• Carries out other duties as assigned by the VP of Asset Management.

Required Experience:

Experience, Education

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Accounting or related field.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in gift services, portfolio management, real estate, financial services, or other business related fields.
• Previous experience in sales, relationship management, or customer service.
• Previous experience serving high net worth individuals, families, and advisors preferred.
• Previous experience in leading a team.
• Previous real estate experience is a plus.
• Previous experience in mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications.
• Some working knowledge of charitable, non-profit, foundation, and/or donor related subject matters preferred.
• Knowledge of CRM tool like Salesforce preferred.
• Additional hours are required during peak work periods and projects, such as fourth quarter and other peak periods throughout the year.
• Occasional travel may be required.
