Rescue Guides monitor the activities of Guests while in or on adventure course installations to assure that all appropriate Park policies and safety regulations are followed. Manage climbing emergencies by applying Rescue Guide and first aid training learned through certification courses and department orientation, and provide a safe and enjoyable experience for each Guest throughout the day.

Job Duties:

• Maintain a polite and friendly demeanor while working and interacting with guest.
• Adhere to and maintain the Outplay Adventures Rescue Guide certification.
• Prepare and inspect adventure course installations and attractions prior to park opening.
• Assure that all guests adhere to the rules of the adventure park.
• Manage emergency situations on adventure course installations and assist First Aid staff when needed.
• Know and respond to questions regarding the park operations.
• Resolve customer complaints by using good sound judgment or by requesting assistance from a Treetop supervisor.
• Assist with the cleaning of the park grounds each day.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Technical Skills Be cognoscente of surroundings and able to respond immediately to emergency situations by applying first aid knowledge obtained during training.
• Communication Greet each and every guest in a warm and inviting manor; complete all supporting documentation in a clear and concise fashion; and able to read and interpret information quickly.
• Planning/ Organizing Keep assigned work area clean and orderly at all times; fill downtime with appropriate tasks; and work in an efficient manner.
• Quality Control Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work; look for ways to improve and promote quality; and able to monitor own work for quality assurance.

Dependability Follows instructions and responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; complete task on time or notifies supervisor with an alternate plan and timeline; consistently at work and on time for scheduled shift; and ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.
