Position Overview:

Security Guards will monitor Park entrances to assist ticket handlers in assuring that only paying Guests enter the Park and that they are not bringing in prohibited items. Patrol Park property, enforce policies, and respond to Guest questions or concerns. Aid in the search for lost children. Provide a safe and inviting environment.

Job Duties:

• Maintain a polite and friendly demeanor while working and interacting with guests.
• Monitor guests as they enter or exit the park; inspect coolers or other containers; and prevent prohibited items from entering the park.
• Insure that all guests adhere to general park rules.
• Remain knowledgeable and respond to questions or concerns of guests.
• Resolve conflicts or guest complaints by using good, sound judgment.
• Aid in the search for lost children/parents.
• Assist ride operators in case of an emergency evacuation.
• Conduct sweep of park property at the end of day and give All Clear once the last guest has left the park.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Communication Great each and every guest in a warm and inviting manor; able to remain calm and effectively communicate with others; utilize walkie-talkie to communicate with main office and managers. Complete documentation in a clear and concise fashion; and able to read and interpret information quickly.
• Planning/ Organizing Fill downtime with appropriate tasks; and work in an efficient manor.
• Quality Control Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work; Look for ways to improve and promote quality; and able to monitor own work for quality assurance.
• Dependability Follows instructions and responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; complete task on time or notifies supervisor with an alternate plan and timeline; consistently at work and on time for scheduled shift; and Ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.
