Position Overview: 

Marina/Boat Rental employees will monitor and assist in all areas of the marina and boat rental operations to ensure the experience of each Guest is positive, employees are responsible for each assigned area daily. Employees will enforce proper parking and safety policies, and respond to Guest questions or concerns throughout the marina property. Provide a safe and inviting environment.

Job Duties: 

Marina/ Boat Rental Office/ Ship Store 

• Offer “World Class Guest Service” to all of our Guests. 
• Operate cash register systems. 
• Responsible for adherence to all cash handling procedures. 
• Store stocking/visual merchandising. 
• Making and returning phone calls, taking messages, taking accurate boat rental reservations. 
• Assisting guest with payments, rental contracts, and other documents 
• Maintain overall organization and cleanliness of work location. 
• Assist managers and supervisors with inventory control methods. 
• Assist managers and supervisors in completing suggested orders and receiving deliveries. 
• Process damaged merchandise. 
• Speak positively about products in your location with Guests 
• Serve Guests quickly and efficiently 
• Smile and Greet each Guest in your location 
• Maintain a safe working environment for your Guests and fellow Team Members. 
• Any other duties as assigned. 

Fuel Dock/ Rental Dock 

• Follow proper fueling procedures when fueling boats, and using waste pump out. 
• Assist Guest in docking to fuel. 
• Will not measure or mix oil and fuel for Guests Boats. 
• Responsible for adherence to all cash handling procedures 
• Assist in the docking of rental boats in possible adverse weather conditions. 
• Should have some experience driving a pontoon boat. 
• Help in the maintenance, cleaning, and general upkeep of the rental pontoon fleet. 
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Piers 

• Assist in cleaning of the piers. 
• Assist in the upkeep and adjustment of the piers 
• Assist in dock maintenance and monitor for possible safety issues. 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Toll booth 

• Provide prompt, friendly, and accurate service to all guests entering the Marina 
• Ensure each guest displays the proper parking tag. 
• Enforce proper parking procedures 
• Collects Launch and parking fees as directed 
• Responsible for adherence to all cash handling procedures 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Skills and Abilities: 

• Problem Solving– Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information efficiently; and develop alternative solutions when needed. 
• Communication– Great each and every guest in a warm and inviting manor; able to remain calm and effectively communicate with others; utilize walkie-talkie to communicate with main office and managers. Complete documentation in a clear and concise fashion; and able to read and interpret information quickly. 
• Planning/ Organizing– Fill downtime with appropriate tasks; and work in an efficient manner. 
• Quality Control– Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work; Look for ways to improve and promote quality; and able to monitor own work for quality assurance. 
• Dependability– Follows instructions and responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; complete task on time or notifies supervisor with an alternate plan and timeline; consistently at work and on time for scheduled shift; and Ensure responsibilities are covered when absent. 

Qualifications: 

Minimum Age: 

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Occasionally = Less than 33% of time worked dedicated to the activity.
