NASA Federal Credit Union is in search of a Repossessions and Remarketing Coordinator with a thorough knowledge of the Credit Union collection policies and procedures, as well as specific knowledge of state and local repossession, legal and force placed insurance laws. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following with other duties as assigned.

• Remains cognizant of and adheres to Credit Union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Maintains professional relationships with vendors and ensures they adhere to specific standards & guidelines.
• Manages Repossession and Remarketing process.
• Places vehicles for repossession with approved agencies.
• Follows appropriate state guidelines on repossession of vehicles - Including proper notification.
• Monitor the progression of the repossession status with assigned repossession agency.
• Skip trace as necessary or use outside agencies when appropriate.
• Manage return vehicle process for redemptions and reinstatements.
• Determines transportation logistics.
• Coordinates inspection & title conversion process.
• Manages online & physical auction sales.
• Sets floor price for vehicle based on condition of vehicle and current market trends.
• Negotiates “if bids” and approves final sales price within established authority.
• Allocates/Processes proceeds of sale.
• Manages the Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) process.
• Works with CPI vendor on claims with collateral protection insurance.
• Files loss and collateral skip claims.
• Review claims and adjuster reports for accuracy.
• Process claims payments & send disposition letters.
• Maintains assigned Legal matters.
• Prepares files for referral to attorneys.
• Recommends judgment collection remedies.
• Attends court hearings, mediation, and settlement conferences.
• Review settlement requests and negotiate payment plans.
• Allocate/Process payments.
• Review legal invoices and prepare for approval.
• Manage all timelines consistent with Credit Union policy.
• Manage the Repossession phone queue to maintain a maximum average of 5% or less telephone abandoned rate per day.

• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent preferred.
• Must have proven high-level Collections experience.
• Requires a basic understanding of bankruptcy law and its relation to auto repossessions.

• $62,400 - $70,720 / Annually
