Naprotek is Hiring an AOI Inspector (day and Swing) - 6 Month Contract (Temp to Hire) Near San Jose, CA
Job Purpose
**6-month Contract “Temporary to Permanent Hire”.
This position operates the automated optical inspection (AOI) machine and reviews machine-identified defects for accuracy. Reads production schedules, operations manuals and receives verbal instructions regarding sequential start-up and operation of AOI machine. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks and works under direct supervision.
Duties and responsibilities
- Review AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of defects
- Create and load programs per documentation
- Make program modifications to improve inspection efficiency
- Communicate problems in the process or with components to the SMT machine operator and technical support staff for immediate correction
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Company
Qualifications
- IPC-610 certification required, if expired will train in-house and re-certify
- Experience running AOI machines, Nordson Yestech and/or Mirtec preferred
- Experience inspecting SMT PCBs
- Quality control and part identification experience
- Mechanically minded
- Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Must exhibit knowledge and/or skill in operating equipment used in the area
- Must be able to read, understand and interpret written and/or verbal instructions in English and have good communication skills
- Ability to deal with changing priorities on a daily basis
Additional Knowledge and Related Experience Requirements
2 years college or equivalent and 3 years plus hands-on experience in a PCB manufacturing environment.
