Office Manager, Assistant Controller

Responsibilities:

• Assist with dealership's accounting functions, financial reporting, office staff management, and more.
• Oversees receivables and payables
• Title problems
• Reconciles bank accounts
• Post all car deals in the DMS system
• Post all incoming vehicle inventory
• Reviews accounts/journal entries, ledgers, and works with the accounting staff to clear up any discrepancies
• Assist in month end preparation and close
• Assist with payroll functions
• Cross trains accounting positions
• Assists in ensuring manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, and more are current and accurate.
• Assists in maintaining an effective cash management system
• Assists in reviewing the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payables, and floor plan payables
• Ensures compliance with all applicable government finance regulations, including filing and/or maintaining required forms, payroll taxes and deposits, income taxes, retirement plan records, etc.

Qualifications:

• Accountant work history is required
• An automotive dealership background is preferred
• Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Microsoft office and payroll software proficient
• Good communications skills
• The highest integrity and professionalism are essential for consideration.
