Responsibilities:
Assist with dealership's accounting functions, financial reporting, office staff management, and more.
Oversees receivables and payables
Title problems
Reconciles bank accounts
Post all car deals in the DMS system
Post all incoming vehicle inventory
Reviews accounts/journal entries, ledgers, and works with the accounting staff to clear up any discrepancies
Assist in month end preparation and close
Assist with payroll functions
Cross trains accounting positions
Assists in ensuring manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, and more are current and accurate.
Assists in maintaining an effective cash management system
Assists in reviewing the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payables, and floor plan payables
Ensures compliance with all applicable government finance regulations, including filing and/or maintaining required forms, payroll taxes and deposits, income taxes, retirement plan records, etc.
Qualifications:
Accountant work history is required
An automotive dealership background is preferred
Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
Microsoft office and payroll software proficient
Good communications skills
The highest integrity and professionalism are essential for consideration.
