Job Summary

As a Primary Care Physician, you will play a vital part in our clinics by providing patient-centered care across diverse medical conditions and age groups. You will serve as the first point of contact for patients, delivering comprehensive and continuous medical care, promoting preventive health measures, and coordinating specialized care when needed.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will conduct thorough patient examinations, gathering relevant information and ordering diagnostic tests to ensure accurate assessments.
  • Prescribing medications and offering guidance on healthy habits and preventative actions will be key aspects of your responsibilities.
  • Perform routine check-ups, you will assess patients' overall health and proactively identify any potential issues.
  • Administering various procedures, such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management, will be part of your skill set.
  • You will provide instruction and counseling to patients regarding health maintenance, while also maintaining necessary documentation.
  • Ensuring office or department efficiency, supervising medical staff, and providing proper oversight for scribing tasks will be important in your role.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school and New York State Certification and Licensure as Physician Assistant
  • Complete a residency program in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and/or Pediatrics. Also, completion of Accredited PA Program, NCCPA Board Certification, and clinical rotations in various medical specialties, such as internal medicine, family medicine, surgery, pediatrics, emergency medicine, occupational medicine, and others.
  • Current Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Infection Control Training with a strong understanding of HIPAA Compliance
  • Valid DEA Registration and CDL and Suboxone certification are preferred
  • Valid Medication Administration Training (MAT) Certificate
  • Experience in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong candidates will work well with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians and allied health professionals and carry out the mission of Nao Medical through clarity, thoughtfulness, and respect for all
  • Has an interest in working for a growth-oriented total care healthcare organization that prioritizes the whole patient
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish and English) are preferred but not required
