NanoMosaic is looking for a motivated and experienced Director of Product Marketing to oversee the commercial success of its cell and gene therapy offerings launching early 2024. Leveraging its proprietary nanoneedle-powered multiomic detection and quantification of protein and nucleic acids in multiplex, Nanomosaic has developed in partnership with well-established institutions a disruptive offering for the complete characterization of recombinant viral vectors. Viral titer, accurate transgene quantification and integrity as well as viral safety and potency assays form a complete turnkey solution of consumables, reagents and protocols optimized for Nanomosaic Tessie™ system.
The successful candidate is a trusted advisor in the bioprocessing community with a demonstrated track record commercializing platform solutions supporting cell and gene therapy workflows. The newly created role will direct appropriate initiatives across product marketing, operational marketing, and Sales organizations to ensure successful market launch and portfolio adoption. You will initially report to the company's CEO and will work closely with stakeholders across R&D, Commercial, Finance and Leadership teams. This is a very exciting role for a candidate interested in building a successful franchise and establishing the Tessie™ platform as a reference method across cell and gene therapy biomanufacturing processes.
The role is based at NanoMosaic Headquarters in Waltham, MA, and requires regular travels domestically and globally (US, EU, China).
Responsibilities will include:
• Prioritizing product marketing initiatives in support of the portfolio launch early 2024, owning the launch plan and coordinating its execution with project stakeholders across R&D, Sales and Operational Marketing partners.
• Actively participating in the tactical marketing plan development, coordinating lead/demand generation, customer engagement programs, company’s website content updates/upgrades, development of marketing collaterals and supporting customer activities with field application scientists and sales personnel (meetings, conferences, local shows…).
• Assisting with the Sales process execution, updating best practices for customer engagement, product demonstrations, objections handling and assisting with close of business when required.
• Maintaining real-time voice of market/customer initiatives to inform product life cycle priorities, continuous improvements of product performance and user experience.

• Coordinating internally with R&D and externally with key opinion leaders to develop a continuous stream of attractive new applications and improved methods.
• Developing the annual Marketing Plan and updating competitive analysis to optimize pricing, identify product revenue growth opportunities, and translate market needs, into winning product improvement roadmaps.
• Training of Commercial teams including sales, operational marketing, field application scientists and technical support functions and of external partners (distributors, agents…).
Primary requirements/qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Life Sciences; additional qualifications in Biology, Marketing or Finance will be a plus.
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in marketing Life Sciences tools and solutions.
• Understanding and strong familiarity with target customer profiles in the cell and gene therapy space including with analytical developments, QA/QC process and methods groups across core academic centers, biopharma and leading CDMOs.
• Ability to switch between strategic longer-term planning activities and hands-on tasks to support team members or specific initiatives.
• Demonstrated successful commercial product launches yielding substantial revenue growth over time.
• Excellent understanding of USP conversion into messaging targeting specific market audiences and personas. Proven ability to work closely with operational marketing function to devise successful lead generation and revenue creation campaigns.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in a range of environments including public conferences, user interviews and panel discussions.
• Ability to travel about 20% of the time primary in the US.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
