Job Description

Summary

Responsible for planning, executing, finalizing of projects according to strict guidelines, and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The project manager will also define the project’s objectives, and oversee constructability, quality control, and safety thought out the project’s duration.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to completion.
  • Define project scope and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear manner.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposal and recommended subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Implement project safety programs, and fosters safety education.
  • Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client.
  • Ensures that the projects meet or exceed goals established in the plans.
  • Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths.
  • Mobilizes company resources through effective liaison with support departments, other offices or subsidiaries to create project teams capable of completing effective quality of work.
  • Works with other project individual managers to develop budgets, schedules and plans for the various elements of a project.
  • Advises client and company management of such changes.
  • Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Is responsible for successful completion of major project.
  • Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent or relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Five (5) years of construction project management work and demonstrated management experience delivering major capital projects.
  • Knowledge of Accounting software; Contact Management systems; Database software; Design software; Development software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.
