Namauu Technological & Industrial is Hiring a Network Operations Specialist III Near San Antonio, TX

Summary

Be a part of a first of its kind team utilizing DevSecOps technology to rapidly deliver capabilities to support a wide range of DoD missions in the heart of downtown San Antonio. You will be one of the first to work in this brand-new modern facility supporting the startup culture to transform the future and protect the security of the United States. Take this opportunity to gain experience in an unclassified and classified environment obtain a security clearance, public sector experience, and support the mission of our military. The Network Operations Specialist performs plans, implements, and operates network services/systems, to include hardware and virtual environments. We are untimely looking for a technical professional who can come in and be a team player, supporting our customers as needed within a wide range of duties and technologies.

General Qualifications

  • Experience working with JIRA, JIRA administration and service management
  • Experience provisioning software, i.e. Installation of new software and distribution
  • Experience working with and understanding Government/DOD security network policies
  • Proven track record of maintaining large, complex network topologies
  • Must possess a DoD 8570 IAT-II or higher certification
  • DoD and/or Air Force experience preferred
  • Pass a Tier 1 background investigation
  • High level of integrity and accountability
  • Eligible to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance if required

Education

  • Bachelors Degree with a major in Information Technology or Cyber related field

Certification(s)

  • DoD 8570 IAT II certification
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNA)-Enterprise
  • Microsoft Windows Server

Key Deliverables

  • Conducts Tier III Operations and Maintenance support to identify severity of problems, determines corrective action, resolves technical problems, performs fault isolation and implements solutions.
  • Remain current on LAN and WAN network product developments and improvements.
  • Oversee and manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment, ensuring they align with established standards, rules, and needs.
  • Employ enterprise patching tools to execute security updates and patches, encompassing Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessments, C4 Notice to Airman, Time Compliance Network Orders, Time Compliance Technical Order, OS patches, and antivirus software updates.
  • Implement server and special mission system security fixes, including operating system patches and antivirus software updates.
  • Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner.
  • Interact with multiple DoD programs, engineers and application developers to design and implement solutions for IT and video related system architectures.
  • Test and evaluate new products which satisfy customer requirements.
  • Investigate new technology or approaches that improve system performance or reduce system costs.
  • Provide technical expertise on the integration of IT systems.
  • Develop network requirements, specification preparation, test plans, deployment and upgrade plans.
  • Participate in the analysis, design, and test of new IP based equipment and configurations for new or existing networks.
  • Propose upgrades to existing network architectures and configurations.
  • Participate in management of network configurations.
  • Remain current on LAN and WAN network product developments and improvements.
  • Develop and executes test procedures for various network projects.
  • Develop and deploys network traffic reporting tools.
  • Proactively evaluates network performance and utilization trends.
  • Troubleshoot and analyzes network issues, failures and congestion.
  • Respond to system problems on a 24 x 7 basis and take part in on-call rotation.
  • Perform packet level analysis with network protocol analyzer software tools.
  • Familiar with and adept at the Cisco DNA Center Ecosystem
  • Manage effective inventory control of property and monitor system warrantee and support service programs to ensure maximum system uptime and availability.
  • May provide specific task direction to staff but does not have formal supervisory responsibilities.

  • Knowledge of measures or indicators of system performance and availability.
  • Knowledge of how traffic flows across the network (e.g., Transmission Control Protocol [TCP] and Internet Protocol [IP], Open System Interconnection Model [OSI], Information Technology Infrastructure Library, current version [ITIL]).
  • Knowledge of remote access technology concepts.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications concepts (e.g., Communications channel, Systems Link Budgeting, Spectral efficiency, Multiplexing).
  • Knowledge of Virtual Private Network (VPN) security.
  • Knowledge of concepts, terminology, and operations of a wide range of communications media (computer and telephone networks, satellite, fiber, wireless).
  • Knowledge of network tools (e.g., ping, traceroute, nslookup)
  • Knowledge of different types of network communication (e.g., LAN, WAN, MAN, WLAN, WWAN).
  • Knowledge of web filtering technologies.
  • Knowledge of the capabilities of different electronic communication systems and methods (e.g., e-mail, VOIP, IM, web forums, Direct Video Broadcasts).
  • Knowledge of the range of existing networks (e.g., PBX, LANs, WANs, WIFI, SCADA).
  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi.
  • Knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP).
  • Knowledge of the common attack vectors on the network layer.
  • Knowledge of network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth).
  • Knowledge of network systems management principles, models, methods (e.g., end-to-end systems performance monitoring), and tools.
  • Knowledge of service management concepts for networks and related standards (e.g., Information Technology Infrastructure Library, current version [ITIL]).
  • Knowledge of symmetric key rotation techniques and concepts.
  • Knowledge of security models (e.g., Bell-LaPadula model, Biba integrity model, Clark-Wilson integrity model).
  • Knowledge of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data security standards.
  • Knowledge of Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards.
  • Knowledge of Personal Health Information (PHI) data security standards.
  • Knowledge of transmission records (e.g., Bluetooth, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Infrared Networking (IR), Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi). paging, cellular, satellite dishes, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)), and jamming techniques that enable transmission of undesirable information, or prevent installed systems from operating correctly.
  • Knowledge of an organization's information classification program and procedures for information compromise.
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration, Domain Name System (DNS), and directory services.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
