Member Services Representative/Teller

Objectives of this role

• Serve members by managing documents, information, and financial transactions in an organized, efficient, and secure manner.
• Build awareness of new products and services, and identify member needs to capitalize on the business referral opportunities.
• Meet and exceed credit union service standards, greeting and acknowledging each member to make them feel welcome, while complying with credit union procedures and security protocols.
• Work with other tellers as a team to complete daily tasks while demonstrating respect and professionalism, being prompt, and supporting management as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle transactions for members, including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, cashier’s checks, and opening and closing of accounts
• Identify member needs, provide information on new products and services, and direct members to branch representatives as needed
• Reconcile cash drawers at the end of your shift, count and package coins and currency, turn in any excess or damaged currency to head teller
• Track, record, report, and store transactional information and special requests
• Provide a high level of customer service, offering answers and assistance with a smile

Required skills and qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math and computer skills
• Cash-handling experience
• Excellent communication, customer-service, and time-management skills
• Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week

• Monday to Friday
