Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team for a long-term care Nursing Home at our State-of-the-Art Facility with NJ Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing care within our organization. This includes managing nursing staff, ensuring quality resident care, and implementing effective nursing policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
- Manage the budget for the nursing department, including staffing levels and resource allocation
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and training of nursing staff
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, Business Administration or Mental Health Administration, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Rehabilitation, or related field. *** Applicants who do not possess a Master's degree may substitute one (1) year of additional experience as indicated below.
- Current New Jersey RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing administration
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices
- Experience in nursing home setting preferred
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
