The opportunity: Senior QA Engineer

As a Senior QA Test Engineer, you are responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the quality of our platform. You will work closely with our Product and engineering teams, and other stakeholders to identify and report issues and recommend solutions to ensure our products' overall quality and performance. Your expertise in test automation will be critical in developing and maintaining automated test suites to ensure ongoing quality and performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining test cases and documentation to ensure accurate and thorough testing coverage.

Given that most of our team is located in the Netherlands, we only consider candidates for this position who live within commuting distance of our office in Amsterdam.

What you'll do in this role:

You are responsible for leading our efforts in setting up the QA testing strategy and plans for myTomorrows
You will collaborate with our engineering and product teams to deliver high-quality products
Design and increase our automated testing coverage to keep our product development efforts scalable and time to market fast
Develop and maintain manual test case coverage and documentation where needed
Report and track issues found during testing, while in close cooperation with engineering you ensure timely resolution
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for software quality assurance
Mentor and train junior new members of our QA team
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software testing and quality assurance

What you bring to the table:

Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or TestComplete
More than 5 years of experience in QA testing or related field
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across the organization
Experience with performance testing and load testing is a big plus
Excellent English communication skills

Our current tech stack:

We are fully cloud-native utilizing mostly AWS services. We adopt a Lean, API-first product development approach leveraging cloud technologies and design practices.
Our web front-end applications are developed in Angular. Our platform technologies, both microservice and AI, are developed in Python, and deployed as AWS Lambda functions.
We also foster a rapidly growing expertise in knowledge graphs (Neo4j / Memgraph) and database technologies (SQL - AWS RDS, NoSQL – AWS DynamoDB, etc.).
In addition, we develop human-in-the-loop Machine learning for Healthcare in-house such as leveraging LLMs and other NLP techniques.
