Our professional optometrists are championing a new path for eye care – join us! This position offers a flexible schedule, alternating 3 and 4 days per week with occasional Saturday coverage..
```Duties```
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients' visual acuity and detect any ocular abnormalities or diseases
- Prescribe corrective lenses or other vision aids based on examination findings
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on proper eye care and maintenance
- Diagnose and manage various eye conditions, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration
- Perform specialized tests, such as visual field testing and retinal imaging
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and opticians, to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient examinations and treatment plans
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in optometry practices and technologies
```Experience```
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions and diseases
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation purposes
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatric patients
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a healthcare team
