Job Purpose

Apply paint to fabricated parts within job specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Read and understand drawings.

· Apply paint to material evenly and within set requirements, including correct color and thickness.

· Report unresolved material shortages and job status to lead and/or supervisor.

· Report all re-work and labor hours required to complete re-work to lead and/or supervisor.

· Coordinate with lead for job assignments.

· Utilized work orders, bills of material, drawings.

· Locate and correctly issue materials from stock and keep inventory of paint usage.

· Detect any imperfections with paint and report all to lead and/or supervisor.

· Maintain clean and safe work area.

· All duties assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or management.

· Responsible for understanding and executing Company goals and objectives while actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.

Qualifications

· Education

o High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Experience

o 1-3 years powder coat paint application is preferred.

· Specialized knowledge

o N/A

· Skills

o Able to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations using whole numbers and fractions.

o Able to read a measuring tape to a 1/16” measurement.

· Abilities

o Able to use and power tools, forklift, had pallet jack, ladders, paint guns (air and wet), pressure paint tanks and paint thickness gauge as required.

o Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagrammatic form.

o Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

o Written and spoken English

Working Conditions

Manufacturing area with dust, noise, moving machinery, heat, cold and humidity (not temperature controlled).

Physical Requirements

Production position. Spends the majority of the work shift walking, bending and stooping. Generally requires clear vision at 20 inches or less for reading. Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist or lifting as required to carry supplies, tools and equipment throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. with no assistance.

Pay: $15.50 - $22.00 per hour
