Description

Myers Park Country Club is looking for a dedicated Outside Service Team Manager who'll be a true ambassador for the golf operation and ensure all team members are committed to offering the best-in-class service and experience to all our members and their guests. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who will successfully oversee the outside service team personnel and a team player who possesses a service-first mindset that is contagious across the entire team and department.

Requirements

• Provide exemplary service to both members and guests of Myers Park Country Club. Have a servant’s heart, and a service-minded attitude and ensure all team members follow suit.
• Strong leader, and willing to lead by example, while also consistently serving as a team player.
• Serve as an ambassador of the Club by tirelessly promoting, serving and representing Myers Park Country Club, and understanding the importance of both the golf operation and the Club as a whole.
• Support the Club’s mission, vision and values and ensure all team members do the same.
• Assist in the training, supervision, and mentoring of the Outside Service Staff and Interns.
• Ensure all outside service team members adhere to all standards set forth by the policies and procedures manual, including grooming, uniform and communication standards.
• Excellent communicator to ensure all pertinent information is shared with the team, while also notifying Professional Staff of any issues.
• Assist the Professional Staff in the implementation of all golf operation policies and procedures.
• Work alongside Head Golf Professional to develop a schedule on a bi-weekly, monthly basis that is in accordance with the budgeted labor hours.
• Responsible for the oversight, storage and upkeep of golf car fleet, maintaining proper golf car repair records.
• Work closely with the cart vendor to communicate any issues relating to the fleet or individual cars in a timely manner.
• Oversight of member bag room consisting of over 700 bags in storage. Ensure the area is organized and free of debris at all times. Work closely with Head Golf Professional when members add or remove bags from club storage.

Education, Skills and Experience:

• The ideal candidate will have a service mindset, positive demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a private Club or other high-end, luxury property or resort is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience of leading a high-performing team is preferred.
• Ability to learn and gain proficiency in Club office equipment and software programs, as well as standard Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Physical Requirements: 

• The employee must be able to meet the follow physical demands to perform the essential functions of this job:
• Work varying schedules and shift lengths, in all weather conditions, including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays on occasion.
• Ability to meet and perform physical requirements and to work effectively in a high-pressure, high -volume environment which is typical of the position.
• Walk and stand for long periods of time on varying and uneven surfaces.
• Frequent repetitive motions, including but not limited to lifting, bending, stooping and pulling.
• Push, pull, lift, carry, and move up to 30-50 pounds equivalent of a standard golf bag with clubs).
• Ability to drive and operate golf carts and range equipment.
