Myers Industries Inc is Hiring a Sales Specialist Near Bristol, IN

In 1963, Myers Industries, Inc. was established and grew into a diversified plastics manufacturer and tire repair supply distributor. Since then, Myers Industries has expanded to become a leading polymer manufacturer of material handling containers and distributor of tire repair and retread products for both domestic and international markets.
Job Overview:
Responsible for developing solid and trusting relationship with assigned customers and assist the sales team manage key accounts. Ensure customer needs are met or exceeded. Support the sales team with gathering customer insights and managing data in enterprise systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Build and expand businessopportunitiesby calling and visiting potential customers and providing special handling of new accountsto build strong relationships including frequent calls.
  • Gatherinformation regarding andreports to management information regardingthe company, competitors, pricing, productsand current and future market trends assistsmanagement in planning, trackingand implementing sales strategies and developing new markets.
  • Collaborate with other sales team members, operationsand administrative staff to provide effective customer solution.
  • Under the guidance of the Sales Director work closely with assigned customers on all areas of the sales order process.
  • Support the sales team to maintain customer information, contact data, ongoing communication, sales leads, and prospecting via company CRM program (SalesForce).
  • Under the direction of the Sales Director conduct sales presentations to potential customers and educate them about the company's products and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and referrals.
  • Understand customer needs and negotiate sales effectively to generate revenue.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas on a regular basis.
  • Continuously expand product knowledge and stay updated on industry trends to effectively communicate the value proposition to customers.
  • Under the direction of the Account Managers and in collaboration with other departments, develop effective sales strategies to improve overall sales performance.
  • May coordinate various company processes with functional partners such as customer service, logistics, operations, etc.
  • Analyze sales movement and trends for future recommendations.
  • Constant communication with Business Manager and Account Managers for support in specific markets.
  • Point of contact for new customers and prospective customers.
  • Work with Quality, Engineering and Production to properly address customer issues and returns.
  • Attend sales meetings and industry trade shows.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, leadership and other departments.
  • Other duties/tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales
  • Disciplined and committed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport and establish long-lasting relationships with clients
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns
  • Good organization skill and detail orientation
  • Demonstrated track record of being a self-starter and taking initiative

  • Able to travel 10% - 20%
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit; and use hands to type and write. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. Occasionally the employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and reach with hands and arms (e.g. climbing stairs, filing paperwork at, above, and below shoulder height). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects such as boxes of 15-25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus to watch video monitor. The employee is required to work in an office environment with frequent visits to the production areas which are not climate controlled.
This position required frequent travel to customer locations and occasional travel outside the local area for sales meetings, trade shows, etc.
