MYCON General Contractors is Hiring a Project Controls Manager Near College Station, TX

The Project Controls Manager establishes controls and operating policies that identify, monitor, and mitigate risk factors that could impact the success of a project. Maintains a reporting structure and process to share project information with stakeholders. Ensures that project control reporting documents are produced and that they clearly reflect the schedule and timeline status, cost or budget considerations, changes, subcontractor performance, and other risk levels. 

 Additionally, provides guidance and consultation to employees. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • The PCM assigned to Special Operations Division has primary responsibility for all of Special Projects Division Operations and coordinates technical support assistance with the Dallas Office as required.
  • Manage the continued refinement of Operational Workflows into MYCON’s software systems.

Procore: Support MYCON’s Procore Administration including:

    • Supports the complete integration of Procore and Spectrum and supports the ERP Administrator troubleshooting thereof.
    • Support training of all of Special Projects Division employees in the use of Procore across all positions, including documentation thereof.
    • Support training of all MYCON non-Operations departments as needed for their assigned uses of Procore.
    • Assist, as required, with updating the content of the MYCON How-To manuals for both ADMIN and USER to keep them current.
    • Assist with the integration of MYCON’s Forms into Procore’s Forms and Inspections.
    • Facilitate management of Permissions Templates and user access.
    • Facilitate management of Procore maintenance.

Data Collection:

    • Support management of data collection of Smart Goals for each employee.
    • Tracks and report on the Project Manager’s monthly DDR reports with regards to timeliness and completeness.
    • Work with Business Unit Leaders, Operations Managers and the Senior Vice President of Special Projects to develop additional data collection as needed.

Analysis & Reporting:

  • Assist in management of all financial reporting that is derived from Procore and other sources to create reports for executive review.
    • Assist in the development of dashboards to communicate cost and schedule performance to teams in real time.
    • Assist with the implementation of a standardized suite of cost and schedule reports that enable senior management to make data driven decisions.
  • Support production of delivery of information of the Deep Dive Report (DDR).
  • Analysis and reporting of the DDR content for accuracy.

    • Assist with management of the format, content, and projections of manpower reporting and presents to leadership

Risk Assessment:

    • Perform trend analysis and actively evaluate project cost and schedule performance to identify potential risk areas, validate forecasts, and communicate those quickly to key stakeholders.
    • Work with key stakeholders to identify project risks, and lead the cost and schedule contingency management process for assigned projects.
    • Change Management / Forecasting: manage change management practices and forecasting to appropriately capture associated cost and schedule activities.

Funding:

    • Facilitate the overall method of submitting and tracking project pay applications and funding.

Training & Monitoring:

    • Ensure that project controls processes are consistently applied across the projects and employees are properly trained to use them.

Decisions:

    • Provide input to operational and tactical decisions within your functional area of responsibility. 
    • Review, evaluate, and recommend changes to project documents as required by project needs.
    • Advice and consult on the application of effective planning techniques and controls (earned value, cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion, critical path analysis).
  • Facilitate coordination of monthly superintendent meetings with general superintendents and other staff as directed.
  • Responsible for implementation of SWPPP for all projects as needed during project set-up and close-out.

Other Duties:

    • Completes special projects and assignments as directed.
    • Other duties as assigned.
