Job summary Under supervision, maintains patient files and statistics, responds to requests for medical records, and performs clerical duties.
Job responsibilities Maintains patient files, files studies, files all patient data upon receipt of information, maintains filing statistics, and audits filing sequence.
Pulls charts for scheduled for laboratories, appointments with technician and physician. Also pulls charts for walk-in patients.
Preps charts for scheduled patients 2 days prior to appointment ensures all labs, specialist reports, etc are received and attached to chart for physician to review.
Photocopy records and documents for billing and / or legal services, sends and receives information via fax machine. Send invoice for requests from attorneys offices.
Keep medical records area clean and organized. Also assists in Front Desk tasks and scheduling appointments when necessary.
