You will need to be willing to travel to regions and perform remote site based work, as and when required, in the role.Specifically, you will be required to:Provide desktop evaluations of candidate locations, and support field inspection activities, in coordination with the Acquisition teamProduce initial site plans based on site inspection reports and internal stakeholder feedbackPrepare and submit DNSP enquiries and applications, as well as manage Retailer interactions as necessary, for proposed NRMA Energy installationsReview design drawings, providing commentary and instruction to enable the best outcomes for proposed NRMA Energy installationsProvide input and support on proof-of-concept activities and new designsLiaise with local contractors and agree on technical requirements needed for electrical power distribution equipment and EV charging stationsAssist with the management of compliance of network and electrical system designs, and operational activities in accordance with legislation, codes of practice and accredited standardsAssist with the undertaking of asset condition and compliance audits and the effective management, calculation, examination, assessment & analysis of informationPrepare concept designs to be used in Request for Quotation activities with suppliersEnhancing the NRMA’s Energy capabilities and working with our partners to deliver and commission Energy assets.Be actively involved in the proposal of innovative solutions for the electrification of the mobility sector (e.g. megawatt charging, wireless charging, flexibility in electrical demand, V2L, V2G etc).Provide operational and technical input for routine and non-routine operations and maintenance activities.Assist in the review, update, and creation of NRMA Energy technical standards, procedures, and operating guidelinesEngineering document control including document management and internal/external transmittalsMaintain and develop new datasheets and documents to standardise and sustain engineering requirementsReview detailed schematics from suppliers and address any required changesAttend Factory Acceptance Test activities in supplier premisesGather information of site faults and perform root-cause analysis.What You'll BringBachelor degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronic)3- 5 years' Engineering experience in the design and management of:Battery Storage,Photovoltaics, Solar Energy,Microgrids,EV Charging, andConnection approvals with DNSPExperience with EV charging stations would be advantageous but is not essentialExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain compelling relationshipsProven ability to interact with multiple functions within an organisation to deliver goals, particularly across project delivery, operations and procurementProject management qualifications with the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects would be advantageousProven track record of performing in high-intensity environments, operating within tight financial resources and meeting challenging deadlinesPositive personality, with a “can do” attitude, energetic leadership style and strong resilienceA good balance of structured & holistic thinking with fast moving and pragmatic executionPassionate about continuous improvement, process efficiency and collaborationDevelop a structured process to increase efficiency in delivery of the above objectivesKnowledge of current Australian regulations and standardsWhat's in it for you?At the NRMA we aren’t just about discounts (although you do get these).
