Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will play a crucial role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support informed decision-making by the management team. Duties: - Manage all aspects of the company's financial accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting - Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP - Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review general ledger accounts for accuracy - Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning - Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements - Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and identify areas for improvement - Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements - Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement Qualifications: - Construction Industry Accounting knowledge required- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred - Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in a corporate accounting environment - Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP principles - Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling - Experience with regulatory reporting requirements - Advanced proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software - Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills - Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams We offer competitive compensation packages including benefits such as medical insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
