Job Title: Assistant Project Manager - Construction

About Us: Mustang Island Development is developing the infrastructure, amenities, and critical buildings in the Cinnamon Shore Vacation resort community. With a focus on overseeing various construction projects, we work closely with general contractors and subcontractors to ensure the successful completion of landscape, infrastructure, residential, and commercial projects.

Position Overview: We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team and help us deliver high-quality construction projects across various sectors. You will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring the progress of projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders including Owner, design consultants, suppliers, Project Manager, general contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
  • Assist in managing project documentation, including contracts, permits, and drawings, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress and ensure compliance with safety standards and owner specifications.
  • Assist in resolving issues and conflicts that may arise during the construction process, advocating for the owner's interests.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and implement process improvements to optimize project delivery.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the Project Manager and the project team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in construction project management or as an owner's representative is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in MS Projects, or other project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, techniques, best practices, and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
