Front of House Manager
Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the front of house area, including the dining room, bar, and host/host station
- Train and supervise front of house staff to ensure excellent customer service
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and place orders as needed
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Strong interviewing skills to effectively hire and train front of house staff
- Experience in hospitality management, including knowledge of industry best practices
- Proficiency in food handling procedures and safety standards
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and specialty coffee offerings
- Exceptional hospitality skills with a focus on providing a positive guest experience
- Ability to assist in cooking or food preparation when necessary
- Proven team management skills to motivate and lead a diverse group of employees
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures, including POS systems
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including menu planning, pricing, and inventory management
