Do you want to apply your engineering and management skills in a construction environment? Murphy Company is seeking a mechanical engineer to manage the design and construction budgets during the early phases of a building project. Candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience with design and construction of HVAC, plumbing and process piping systems serving institutional, laboratory, pharmaceutical and commercial related projects.

Candidate must be familiar with working in a Design/Build and/or Design/Assist environment. He or she must possess a thorough understanding of building systems and have the ability and/or desire to accurately budget these systems early in the design phase of the project. The candidates should be interested in improving their understanding of construction costs, constructability and schedule implications of different designs. Must be capable to lead the intensive efforts to manage a design to a budget with a group of experienced engineers and construction managers.

The candidate will have a 4 year engineering degree and registration as Professional Engineer is preferred. Building construction experience is a plus. Candidate will report to VP of Preconstruction.
