Political Campaign Staffer / Canvasser Job Summary:

Murphy Nasica is looking for Canvassers/Staffers to join our team and work on high-profile campaigns across Texas & the lower 48 with the ability to continue doing so over the course of the 2024 election cycle.

Political Campaign Staffer / Canvasser Job Requirements:

● Must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive around the district

● Personable and willing to engage voters in a door-to-door environment

● Ability to be outside knocking on doors on a daily basis

● Must pass a background check and be authorized to work in the US

● Sales / Customer Service / field, or campaign experience is preferred but not required

Political Campaign Staffer / Canvasser Pay & Perks:

● $125/day Bonuses (paid on the 5th & 20th)

● Eligible for bonus pay ($1 per door after 100 doors spot bonuses)

● Travel stipends & housing can be provided on a case by case basis

● Flexible schedule, control what hours you work (the average canvasser hits 25-30 doors per hour).

Political Campaign Staffer / Canvasser Duties & Responsibilities:

● Go door to door distributing campaign materials.

● Hold pleasant, persuasive, policy conversations with voters about key issues. We will coach you on any relevant policy knowledge necessary.

● Apply critical thinking skills and provide nuanced feedback from the ground about how voters view the candidate, issues, and politics in general.

● Manage your own time to ensure you are hitting productivity expectations (100 doors per day).

● Follow defined best practices & campaign quality metrics. We will define best practices and metrics in detail during the in person training.

This is an Entry to Mid level position in the field of campaign politics & political consulting.

Canvassers will use their strong communication skills to communicate directly with critical voters to gather data on key political issues. Sales / Customer Service skills translate well in this role! A lot of successful political staffers started off in sales or customer service roles and have never looked back.
