Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes and achieve cost savings.
2. Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
3. Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential vendors and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
4. Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
5. Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance, resolving any issues or discrepancies as they arise.
6. Coordinate with legal and finance departments to review and approve contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable and align with company objectives.
7. Track procurement activities and expenditures, analyzing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
8. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures for procurement processes, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and compliance with industry standards.
9. Provide guidance and support to junior procurement staff, assisting with training and development as needed.
10. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting procurement practices, and adjust strategies accordingly.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
3. Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and vendor management principles.
4. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
5. Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or Coupa.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
7. Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to drive results while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
9. Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement, including contract law and compliance standards.
10. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
