Overview: Are you passionate about sports and dedicated to shaping young athletes into champions both on and off the court? We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Basketball Camp Instructor. As the heartbeat of our recreation camps, you will not only teach game skills but also instill values of sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork.Key Responsibilities:Warm Welcome: Greet children with enthusiasm and ensure a smooth check-in process, keeping records updated for seamless camp operations.Engaging Instruction: Lead a variety of athletic and enrichment programs, ranging from traditional sports like basketball and soccer to exciting outdoor activities such as football, lacrosse, and ultimate frisbee. Get creative with arts and crafts sessions to keep campers inspired.Safety First: Prioritize the well-being of our campers by maintaining a safe environment, including equipment setup and sanitization. Your ability to lift up to 30lbs will be essential for this task.Curriculum Mastery: Develop and implement age-appropriate basketball camp activities, following carefully crafted lesson plans to ensure skill progression and achievement of program goals.Positive Reinforcement: Foster a positive atmosphere by building rapport with campers and parents, reinforcing good behavior, and swiftly addressing any concerns with professionalism and empathy.Emergency Response: Be prepared to act decisively in critical incidents, following established protocols to ensure the safety and security of all participants.Role Model: Lead by example, enforcing safety regulations and exhibiting exemplary sportsmanship at all times, both on and off the court.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 2 years of basketball experience in athletic settings, with a preference for those who have worked with youth, especially in summer camp environments.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively interacting with campers, parents, and colleagues.Safety Certifications: Current CPR AED/First Aid and SafeSport certifications are required or must be obtained within the first three weeks of employment.Passion for Development: Demonstrate a genuine passion for youth development and a commitment to upholding the values of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.If you're ready to make a positive impact on young athletes' lives while enjoying a dynamic and rewarding work environment, we encourage you to apply now and join us in fostering a love for sports and camaraderie at our Basketball Camp!
